(KY Public Protection Cabinet)–The Kentucky Board of Home Inspectors (KBHI) announced this month that the number of licensed home inspectors in Kentucky has reached an all-time high with 450 active licensed inspectors. Since January, the board has experienced a 10 percent growth in the number of licensed home inspectors, and the trend is expected to continue as real estate transactions increase across the state.
Record sales across the real estate industry are translating to job opportunities in related fields, including home inspection, said Ken Warden, Executive Director of the Kentucky Real Estate Authority. KBHI and the Kentucky Real Estate Authority are committed to providing outreach opportunities for potential and current licensees so that the number of home inspectors in Kentucky will match the increasing demand for services.”
Kentuckys 450 licensed home inspectors cover all of the states 120 counties, and additional inspectors are needed in many areas. To fill the gap, KBHI is working to attract more people to the field, with a goal of licensing an additional 400 home inspectors in the next two years.
