Several residents were awakened in the middle of the night after a car slammed into their building. It happened at the corner of Constitution Street and North Limestone. The car, which is a rental vehicle, crashed into the building causing severe structural damage. Police say that the driver fled the scene, leaving a bag of cash inside. The building houses Lexington Pasta and several loft apartments. Police aren’t sure who the vehicle was rented to.
