A man tried to rob a Lexington gas station Monday morning. Police say a man walked into the Speedway at Winchester Road and Seventh Street just before 6 a.m. and pointed an object with a cloth hanging on it at the clerk, implying it was a weapon. The clerk screamed “911” and the would-be robber ran out of the store. Police say the suspect jumped into a car and drove off. Nobody was hurt and the man did not get away with anything.
