Woman Resists Robber

A woman fought off an armed robber in a Lexington neighborhood Monday afternoon. Police say the victim was walking along Wilson Downing Road near Meadowbrook Park when a man approached, pulled a knife and demanded her purse. Officers say she resisted the robber, and he got away with nothing, but the woman did suffer a minor cut in the scuffle.
