Police say a drunk driver crashed into a utility pole early Thursday morning, knocking out traffic signals at a downtown Lexington intersection. The man took out the pole at the intersection of North Broadway and Second Street around 3 a.m. When the pole fell, it landed on another vehicle. The woman driving that car was not hurt. Police arrested the driver who hit the pole and charged him with DUI. Officers also arrested two other people for public intoxication.
