A Talker Research survey of 2,000 Americans shows 86% embrace getting cozy during winter months, following the Danish practice of “hygge.” Two-thirds want to “hibernate the entire winter like a bear.” People plan to spend 56 days out of 90 winter days focused on coziness. Top cozy activities include curling up on couches (48%), using blanket layers (46%), and enjoying quiet time (42%). Most respondents rate their home’s cozy factor at 6.5 out of 10, with 71% believing they could make it cozier. Nearly three-quarters (72%) would cancel social plans when too comfortable to leave home. The study found 76% get better sleep when feeling cozy beforehand, with peak coziness occurring at 3 p.m. on weekends. (Story URL)
