Lexington Bank Robbed

(Lex PD)–The Lexington Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that occurred Thursday morning. Shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday, August 15, officers responded to the Central Bank located on Versailles Road for a reported robbery.

Bank employees stated that an unknown man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, and a gray cloth over his face ran into the bank demanding cash. A teller complied with the suspect’s demands and the suspect fled on foot to a vehicle that was waiting for him on Devonport Drive. The vehicle was described by witnesses as a dark-colored passenger car.
