Car Drives Into Gas Station

A car ran into a Lexington gas station Tuesday evening. It happened at the Shell Station on Newtown Pike around 8:30 p.m.. The Lexington Fire Department says a woman was pulling into the gas station when she became distracted and accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. The car ran into a glass wall, but the damage was minimal. No one was injured. Lexington Fire officials say that the building is structurally sound and the store said it would remain open.
