Lexington police took five people into custody after a robbery early Wednesday morning. Two men say they were walking along Walden Drive to the Kroger on Tates Creek Road around 1 a.m. when a car pulled up. The victims say six masked men got out and came at them with handguns and a shotgun. The robbers took the their wallets and cell phones. A short time later, police pulled over a car they suspected was linked to the holdup along Man O' War Boulevard near Alumni Drive. Police say they found two masks, a shotgun and items belonging to one of the victims in the car. Officers took five people into custody for questioning.
