Lexington police are searching for the suspect who asked a man for money, then shot him early Monday morning. Police say the victim told them he was walking along Village Drive around 2:45 a.m. when a man approached and asked him for money. The victim told the man he didn't have any bills, but tossed him some change. Police say the victim told them at that point, the suspect pulled a gun and shot him in the leg. Police have not released any details about the suspect, but say he might have left the area in a red car.
